About Me
My initial training is as a Person-Centred counsellor and, as such,
entering your world with deep listening, empathy and genuine
acceptance are the foundations of my work. I know that the experience
of simply finding a space of trust and safety in which to be met
unconditionally can be deeply transformative.
In recognising that we are all individuals and that a variety of skills and
approaches can benefit at different times in our lives, I have also pursued
further training and now work in an integrative way, guided always by
what works best for you.

In addition to my counselling with adults, I am also trained to work with children and young people. My previous background was as a Steiner kindergarten teacher and teacher-trainer and I am now able to offer talk-therapy, therapeutic play and creative expression to support a wide range of ages and abilities.

I believe in having a balanced life so, in addition to my paid and voluntary counselling work, I am often out and about getting my boots dirty and having fun on the beaches and woods with my dogs, attempting to develop my green fingers in my garden or enjoying quiet times of mindfulness and yoga.

My training so far:

Person-Centred Counselling Diploma
Psychodynamic Certificate
CRUSE loss and bereavement training for adults, children and
young people
Online and Telephone Counselling Certificate
Transpersonal Psychology Certificate
Eating disorders counselling and support
Trauma-informed therapy

I am committed to life-long learning and personal development and fully believe that I can only accompany my clients as far in their journey as I have been willing to go myself.
